About Susan

Susan has lived in Muhlenberg Township since 1980. She has also lived in Hyde Park, Riverview Park, and South Temple, during which time her two children attended Muhlenberg Schools.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). She began her career teaching art in local public schools. Now retired, for the previous 40 years, she worked in electrical distribution, during which time she founded a residential lighting showroom, worked as a designer in commercial construction, was involved in educational outreach with the Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center, and became a Vice President and General Manager. She is well acquainted with the commercial construction process in Berks County and hopes to bring this experience to the capital projects that Muhlenberg School District has planned.

Currently, Susan is a member of the Berks Inter-Cultural Alliance (BICA), where she assists with their educational programming and supervises the annual scholarship program.

An active painter, Susan has had work in many local shows, including the Berks Art Alliance Annual Show. She is an avid reader who is always looking to continue her personal education.
